27th March,2024, Mumbai: The 2007 film Jab We Met, starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, was released. The movie has become incredibly well-known in mainstream culture over time. Imtiaz Ali, the film’s director, created characters and a plot that spanned multiple generations. As she prepares for her upcoming film, Crew, Kareena talked on the legacy left by the movie and her legendary role, Geet, in a recent interview. She acknowledged that she had missed the classic romance between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, as well as a word of wisdom for Geet.

Kareena Kapoor recently spoke with Ranveer Allahabadia on the film’s recent re-release in theatres and referred to it as “amazing.” She remembered that friends and family had sent her videos of themselves reciting the entire movie aloud as if it were a book. She revealed Shahid Kapoor’s narration style as well as the dialogue of each character. The actress concurs that hardly many films have the same type of impact on viewers as Jab We Met did.
Advice from Kareena Kapoor to Geet of Jab We Met
Furthermore, Kareena was questioned about any guidance she may offer Geet today. According to the actress, what drew in the viewers was the innocence. “This longevity is because she did everything and thought so much from her heart ke aaj kal log dimaag se sochte hain, jo karna chahiye kabhi kabhi life mein, but Geet jaisa jo apne dil se sochti hai hamesha vo aaj kal, you don’t see even in the Gen Zs,” the speaker said, expressing her belief.
She acknowledged that while people are far more engrossed in social media today than they were in the pre-social media age, “I feel so that’s how somehow they are connecting that they also want to be like that,” she remarked.

Kareena further acknowledged that she missed the rom-com period and discussed the success of Jab We Met throughout the conversation. “I’m not sure where they disappeared to. Where have all the tales of love gone? Where are the instances when Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were together? I miss those too,” she remarked.
In response to industry rumours, Bebo stated that audiences are now far more drawn to action films. The actress nevertheless refers to viewers as “accepting,” stating that she thinks people’s preferences shift and that good films are also well-liked by viewers.
“Tomorrow, everyone will watch comedy (Crew) next week, but currently, they are watching action. Hopefully, comedy will be shown as well.” We’re attempting to revive a variety of genres, but I believe that action films are still very popular despite viewers’ shifting tastes. They enjoy good films, and because they are so welcoming and loving, they will just stick with anything that piques their attention and has a compelling plot, no matter how it is presented’, the woman stated.
Kriti Sanon and Tabu play major roles in Bebo’s upcoming film Crew, which is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan. Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma also make cameo appearances. It is scheduled to open in theatres on March 29, 2024.
