It’s more than simply a pastime; it’s a way to relieve tension, improve mood, and spend “me time” together. I dance whenever I feel like it, whether it’s when I’m walking or when I’m creating reels. Dancing is vital to me because it balances out the highs and lows of life.” Namita Lal’s varied musical taste is seen in the dances she chooses. “I dance to everything—be it Spanish, Latin, or the evergreen Bollywood hits like ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ and the latest groovy numbers,” she says. “’Daddy Cool’ and ‘Abba’ are two of my favourite tunes to groove to.
Although Namita Lal did not receive any professional instruction beyond Bharatnatyam throughout her teenage years, she considers herself to be a fluid dancer. She says, “I dance from the heart and with passion.” “Everywhere I go, people compliment my carefree and heartfelt style.”
