20th April,2024, Mumbai: Recently, there was a really unsettling event in front of Salman Khan’s home. There have been gunshots lately, and it seems like the entire business is trembling.
Deepali Pansare:
There are advantages and disadvantages to fame. The usual aim is a huge star like Salman. Since they are ultimately also people and have a right to safety and privacy, it is totally wrong. Although I don’t feel dangerous in my role as a celebrity, as a woman, I do occasionally feel that extra security is needed. People do congregate around us to take selfies, especially when we are out at events. Most of the time this is OK, but occasionally things go out of control.
Khan Hussain Gulfam:
You get some hate when you become famous. It comes with the bundle. A few trolls will follow you if you reach 100 followers. Since the beginning of time, those who have been idolised and placed on a pedestal have come to be despised by some. This includes religious authorities, political figures, and artists alike; hatred is bound to befall everyone who is loved.

In the last fifteen to twenty years, a lot has changed. Social media’s ascent has had a profound impact on people’s attitudes, behaviours, and thought processes. Elders and gurus were respected more in the past, but in the modern world, Google is frequently seen as everyone’s guru. Because of the big population and the widespread perception that everyone is successful and smart, people these days tend to think highly of themselves, which causes irritation to increase. With the rise of social media and everyone’s desire to be regarded as an influencer, performer, or artist, jealousy has grown more common. The criminal underworld was a threat in the past; it would target celebrities and demand money from them. Despite the advancements, there are still difficulties today on all fronts, with people competing, getting envious, and being impatient. People can now more easily craft their own stories thanks to digitalization, which has even begun to normalise illegal activity. But it’s imperative that the media exercise responsibility and refrain from elevating wrongdoers in order to boost their ratings. Rather than sensationalising crime, their attention should be directed on showcasing true heroes. Everyone should concentrate on their strengths, put forth a lot of effort, refrain from hurting other people, and have an optimistic outlook. There has always been and always will be a safety versus danger game, but everyone needs to put compassion and respect first.
Simple Kaul:
Naturally, being secure might be quite risky. I’m not sure why the employee was fired. Such a regrettable occurrence. This kind of occurrence has caused us to question why this occurred. Why is he at fault? That he is well-known? I don’t know why this happened, and it’s awful that it should have happened, but he doesn’t even hold a strong religious opinion that would harm anyone. Since I’m not on that level, I feel protected, but what if I didn’t? What if I were born in a time when these things were normal? I was genuinely thinking about him and what he and his family members are going through because it’s hard to be in a situation like that and in a spot like that. It’s a scary feeling to be in because what is more important than life.
Ansh Bagri:
What happened to Salman Khan is truly quite sad and cause for concern. He’s incredibly well-liked, and it’s unsettling to consider that anything like this might still occur despite his house being heavily guarded. It’s horrifying that someone would fire a gun outside the residence of a person with such widespread recognition. It makes people concerned about the risks associated with fame: after years of hard work and achievement, someone may jeopardise your safety in exchange for money or notoriety. Not only Salman Khan, though; a lot of accomplished people probably deal with comparable threats. More stringent measures against these kinds of crimes are necessary, as demonstrated by the recent cases involving Salman Khan and Sidhu Moosewala. The fact that something like this might occur is a tragic testament to the flaws in our system. It’s normal to experience fear and incoherence when confronted with such situations. We can only hope that authorities respond forcefully to protect everyone’s safety, not just the public figures.
Shubhangi Atre:
I was astonished and taken aback upon learning about the incident that occurred at the residence of a prominent figure in Mumbai. We had always thought that Mumbai is the safest city in which to reside, therefore I was at a loss for words. However, I’m relieved that everything is safe at this point. I hope that this regrettable situation never occurs again because it’s still quite awful. Though I genuinely hope and wish that nothing like this ever occurs to anyone again, I do believe the government will take the necessary measures to prevent such events.
Ishaan Singh Manhas:
While being famous doesn’t always mean breaking the law, there are drawbacks, such as security issues. Mumbai is a large metropolis with unique hazards. Although most of the time I feel protected, situations like these serve as a reminder to exercise caution. Whether or not they are well-known, everyone has the right to feel protected. When someone’s private life is jeopardised due to their public persona, it is regrettable.
