02 May 2023, Mumbai: A controversy has been occurred even before the release of the much awaited film ‘The Kerala Story’. The movie is set to be released on May 5th but have gained head lines before the movie actually came out. The Kerala Story claims that 32,000 women have gone missing from Kerala after being brainwashed, converted and are sent for terror missions.
Thought the claims have been opposed by the Kerala political party leader and two other individuals.
P.K. Firoz, the chief of Muslim youth league, promised Rs. 1 crore to those who can prove that the storyline of The Kerala Story is true.
K. Nazeer Hussain, a blogger, also said he would give, “Rs 10 lakh to anyone who can produce evidence that women were converted and forced to join the Islamic State”. Along with him, Shukkur, a lawyer and an actor wrote on Facebook that he is also ready to give, “Rs 11 lakh to anyone who will name the Kerala women who were converted, and then joined the Islamic State”.
The film is directed by Sudipto Sen with Adah Sharma in the leading role and as soon as the teaser of the movie was out Saji Cherian, the Kerala cultural minister said, “if ‘The Kerala Story’ is screened, people should boycott it”. He might also take legal action against the movie if it releases.
The movie is about the Four college students of Kerala who joined the Islamic state.
