13th October 2023, Mumbai: Maharashtra, India: “Hum Tumhein Chahte Hain ” is a picturesque relish that weaves well balanced storytelling, spellbinding performance, breathtaking visuals to devise an enduring cinematic experience.
Stuffed with all sorts of Genres
An audience can find the movie loaded full of amour, melodrama, tragedy, laughter, integrity and few best songs to boot. The theatrical release has all the spicy ingredients and the person who has directed the movie Mr. Rajann Lyallpuri has left no stone unturned to ensure that the movie reaches the heart of every age old individual.
Communication through the film
The exchange of communication throughout the movie shows more natural and with all sincerity. The movie has intense drama. The covering of the scenes in a movie already mentioned title mainly target ambiguous Surya Kumar (Janmejaya Singh) and how actor became the centre of attraction to Maya (Rituparna Sen), an aged woman and Vani (Anusmriti Sarkar), his young eighteen-year-old neighbour.
Script of the film
The film commenced from a bizarrely conflicting note, with businesswoman Maya dashing into soft spoken Surya Kumar at the gym. It’s the first day of his GYM as a trainer and she throws her weight around, her second swivel at Surya makes her go hook-line and sinker for him.
The narrative shifts to give us a gist into the relationship between Maya and her passionate politician husband, Mayapati (Govind Namdeo). To convolute issues there are Vani and Aarti (Tina Ghai), an appealing character and a bunch of politicians, with Anup Jalota playing the Party President.
Can you imagine having not just one but three plots at a time that makes the story more interesting? eventually, the outrageous moment and the climax arrives in the blink of an eye succession after Maya tells Surya, “Aaj ke shyam mere naam kardo.”
What follows is an unexpected twist that makes the film wholesome and meaningful.
Janmejaya Singh, in his debut performance as Surya Kumar is irresistible. There is intensity in his eyes, honesty in his demeanour, and subtleness in his performance that makes you root for him. How he juggles uncomfortably between Maya’s instructions and Vani’s obsession is a point to be noted, and he does it gracefully. There are moments when he outshines his co-stars with his confidence and charisma.
Coming to Rituparna Sen, extolled for award winning actress, has the pour understanding what is expected from her while delivering her performance. Similarly Anusmriti Sar, is equally competent.
Coming to the late singer, who is known for golden jewelleries, Bappi Lahiri, his songs boasted a good amount of values to the production that mesh the storyline of the movie. Each beat of the song has picturized with Bappida. The movie is worth the watch and the money won’t go in vain for sure. The film ensures the good value and moral representation. But the best of the numbers is “Seva Seva”. Rego B, 13 years old, the youngest singer in the Indian Music Fraternity has made his playback debut in Bollywood with the song which is picturized on Rajpal Yadav, an entertaining, comic item song.
With the exception, the debut performance, he makes history by being the only grandson of a celebrated singer & music composer late Shri Bappi Lahiri who will sing on the tunes of his grandfather.
The Indian Music Fraternity has never seen the example of witnessing such exclamatory performance composition to the Great Bappi Lahiri. He is the fourth generation in the entire Lahiri family to become one from Saregama which holds lots of dignity for the family.
Overall, the movie definitely touches the heart and soul of the viewers.
