Ved has exceeded the 5 crore threshold on its second Sunday after earning 4.50 crores on its first Sunday. The movie made 5.70 crores more than it did a week earlier, which is a fantastic result and a significant increase. Additionally, even when expressed as an absolute figure, this is a large amount given the limited distribution and regional appeal of Marathi films. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people walking around, which has led to constantly good collections.
The movie has made 33.42 crores so far, which would have been an outstanding sum even if it had been the lifetime total. There is still much more that could be added to the film’s total since this is only a 10-day haul so far and there are still a few open weeks with no competition at all. In fact, there is a significant chance that sales will surpass Rs 2 Crores at least from Monday through Thursday as well, which means at least Rs 10 Crores more will be earned before the end of the workweek.
Now it would be intriguing to watch whether the Marathi remake’s success would lead to a Hindi version as well. Ved, a remake of the 2019 Telugu film Majili, has taken the early lead in terms of a remake reaching out to a wider audience. Considering Bollywood’s love for remakes, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if a Hindi version is also announced soon.
