Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hanuman Ansh, a biopic on Neem Karoli Baba, has emerged as one of the biggest surprise hits at the box office. The film arrived in cinemas on August 7 with almost no pre-release buzz but has managed to create a remarkable run in its fourth week.
The film had a slow start and collected only ₹1.48 crore in its first two weeks. However, Hanuman Ansh witnessed an unexpected turnaround in its third week, with collections rising sharply.
The Shobhinaw Satyaa starrer has now continued its strong run in its fourth week as well.
Hanuman Ansh Box Office Collection Day 26
According to Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh earned around ₹8.50 crore net in India on Day 26. With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached ₹54.13 crore. The film has also recorded a domestic gross collection of approximately ₹63.82 crore. Considering its limited buzz and small-scale release, the numbers are extremely impressive.
Hanuman Ansh Beats Yash's Toxic Hindi On Tuesday
Interestingly, Hanuman Ansh has also managed to outperform Yash’s Toxic in Hindi on Tuesday. While Hanuman Ansh collected ₹8.50 crore net on its fourth Tuesday, Toxic earned around ₹5.60 crore net in Hindi on the same day.
Even across all languages, Toxic collected approximately ₹8.20 crore net, which is still lower than Hanuman Ansh’s Tuesday collection. This is particularly impressive because Hanuman Ansh has been released only in Hindi, while Toxic has a much larger scale and a pan-India release.
Hanuman Ansh Is Already A Blockbuster
The biggest surprise is the film’s reported budget. According to reports, Hanuman Ansh was made on a budget of just ₹2 crore. With ₹54.13 crore net already collected in India, the film has delivered a massive return on its investment. By all indications, Hanuman Ansh has turned into a blockbuster at the box office. The film’s incredible run also highlights how word-of-mouth can sometimes completely change a movie’s box-office journey.
Final Words
With the film continuing to perform strongly in its fourth week, Hanuman Ansh could still add a significant amount to its total. The film is currently expected to finish its theatrical run in the range of ₹70-80 crore net in India, provided its strong momentum continues. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that the film started its theatrical journey without any major buzz and took only a few weeks to become one of the most unexpected box-office success stories of the year.
