Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hanuman Ansh, based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, has turned into one of the most unexpected box office success stories of 2026. After opening with barely any buzz, the film has witnessed a remarkable turnaround in its fourth week.

The film hit theatres on August 7, 2026, with a modest opening of just Rs 10 lakh on Day 1. Its first two weeks remained slow, and the film had collected only Rs 1.48 crore by the end of Week 2.

However, the film eventually found its audience through strong word-of-mouth and growing conversations on social media.

The major turnaround for Hanuman Ansh began on Day 17, when the film collected Rs 2.20 crore in a single day. The sudden jump indicated that the film was gaining momentum despite its slow start. The positive response continued through the third week, which added Rs 10.40 crore to the film’s total.

The film has now delivered its biggest surprise in Week 4.

On Day 24, Hanuman Ansh collected an impressive Rs 12.75 crore in India. This was a 37.8 percent jump compared with its previous day’s collection of Rs 9.25 crore. The film recorded 5,363 shows across India on Day 24. Its India gross collection has now reached Rs 47.33 crore, while its India net collection stands at Rs 40.13 crore.

Hanuman Ansh Day-Wise Box Office Collection

Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 1.08 crore in its first week, followed by Rs 0.40 crore in Week 2. The film witnessed a significant turnaround in its third week, earning Rs 10.40 crore. Its momentum continued in the fourth week, with the film collecting Rs 6.25 crore on Day 22, Rs 9.25 crore on Day 23 and a massive Rs 12.75 crore on Day 24. With this strong surge, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 40.13 crore.

The numbers show just how dramatically the film has changed its box office trajectory. What initially looked like a quiet theatrical run has now transformed into a strong word-of-mouth success.

About Hanuman Ansh?

Hanuman Ansh explores the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba, popularly known as Maharaj-ji. The official synopsis describes the story as one of grief, faith and service. It follows a grieving boy who wants to find God so that he can meet his departed mother. His search eventually leads him towards the divine and teaches him the importance of serving humanity through love, food and silent blessings.

The film presents the journey that leads him to become Hanuman Ansh, Neem Karoli Baba. Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh has managed to find an audience without relying on a major theatrical opening or extensive pre-release buzz.

Its box office journey is particularly notable because the film spent its first two weeks struggling to attract viewers. The strong jump in its third and fourth weeks suggests that positive word-of-mouth has played a major role in bringing audiences to theatres.

Hanuman Ansh Becomes One of 2026’s Surprise Success Stories

The success of Hanuman Ansh is a reminder that a film’s theatrical journey does not always depend on a strong opening weekend. The film started with just Rs 10 lakh on its opening day and collected only Rs 1.48 crore during its first two weeks. Yet, after finding an audience, it began recording substantial growth. With Rs 12.75 crore on Day 24 alone, Hanuman Ansh has now crossed the Rs 40 crore India net mark. Its remarkable fourth-week performance has turned the Neem Karoli Baba biopic into one of the year’s most unexpected box office stories.
