Recently, she posted a throwback picture, shedding light on her first film set experience in 1970. Aman expressed her astonishment at the chaotic and unsophisticated set, contrasting sharply with the glamorous scenes she had envisioned. Through her posts, she not only entertains but also raises awareness about significant issues.
Zeenat Aman’s Candid Reflections: Unveiling Her First Day on a Film Set
In her recent Instagram update, Zeenat Aman posted a vintage monochrome picture from the 80s. In the caption, she reminisced about the popular fashion trends of that era, including poofy hair, exaggerated collars, and sparkling outfits. She mentioned that the photo was from a playful test shoot. Additionally, she recounted a surprising experience from 1970, describing her initial shock upon arriving at a film set, which was entirely different from her expectations.
“The very first day that I walked onto a set in 1970, I looked around and was taken aback by how dull it all was. Wires snaked across the floor, heavy camera machinery was propped up on rusty trolleys, men ran hither and thither shouting instructions and ferrying supplies. It was nothing like I had imagined,” she wrote.
Zeenat Aman recalled her reaction, questioning the absence of glamour. She went on to say… “But where’s the glamour?” I exclaimed. OP Ralhan, my director, just smirked and drawled, “Babusha, YOU are the glamour”. Soni Razdan commented on her post, and wrote, “Totally agree. You were my favorite and still are.” Meanwhile, Chitrangda Singh commented, “You’re soo cool ! You can make any era look glam !” A fan praise on Zeenat Aman and wrote, “You still are an epitome of glamour….and the first word that pops in our mind when we talk about you,” while another one commented, “YOU are the epitome of glamour, style, and grace, @thezeenataman!”
