Vicky Kaushal, an actor, just finished shooting his eagerly anticipated biopic Sam Bahadur, which is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, India’s greatest combat hero and Field Marshal. The actor posted a number of pictures from the wrap-up festivities on social media, reflecting on the demanding two-month filming that took place across five locations. Sam Bahadur, a Meghna Gulzar-directed film, also features Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in significant roles.
Vicky took it to instagram by sharing pictures on Tuesday in which the cast was wearing sweatshirts that had ‘SAMBAHADUR’ printed on it. Vicky cutting the cake, and the whole team chapping with joy as they completed their scheduel is what we can see in the post shared. Vicky penned the caption as “After more than 2 months of relentless work across 5 cities’ it’s a SCHEDULE WRAPPP for the Bahadurs!!! Few more cities and a few more months to go. See you soon Team, to continue our journey of making #SAMBAHADUR !!!”
Sam Bahadur will show us different stages of late army personnel’s life, whose career has seen five wars! To be promoted as the rank of Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw was the first Indian Army Officer and it was under his leadership that the military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.
Vicky is playing the Titular role. On the other hand, Sanya Malhotra will be seen playing his wife, Silloo Manekshaw. The former prime minister Indira Gandhi will be played by Fatima Sana Shaikh in the movie.
Talking about the actor, Vicky will be next seen in Govinda Naam Mera co-starred by Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. He is also collaborating with Sara Ali Khan for Laxman Utekar’s film.
