16th October 2023, Mumbai: It’s indeed a rare sight to see Ratna Pathak Shah, renowned for her role in the Dhak Dhak Movie, riding a bike, especially at a challenging location like Khardung La Pass. Pranjal Khandhdiya, the producer of Dhak Dhak, shared insights about the Dhak Dhak Movie Collection and the challenges faced in convincing Ratna Pathak Shah to be a part of it. Once onboard, Shah achieved an unforeseen milestone in her New Movie becoming a biker at 65. Ratna Pathak Shah’s role in this movie sees her alongside Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi, as they embark on a riveting journey in Dhak Dhak Movie to the world’s highest motorable road.
Behind-the-Scenes Challenges of Dhak Dhak
Filming the Dhak Dhak Movie was no walk in the park. Pranjal, who was deeply involved in the Dhak Dhak Movie Reviewed the process, and spoke candidly about the obstacles faced during the shoot. Weather unpredictability, crew health concerns at high altitudes, and the intricacies of shooting in actual locations posed significant challenges.
Taapsee Pannu’s Absence in Film Promotion
An interesting twist in the Dhak Dhak Movie’s journey was the notable absence of its co-producer, Taapsee Pannu, during its promotions. Pranjal elaborated on Taapsee’s stance, describing her belief that movies like these require an extra promotional thrust, especially in the absence of traditional star power. The narratives explored in the film – issues faced by women bikers and the myriad concerns of solo women travelers in India – should have been at the forefront of public discourse. However, such films often get limited attention. Pannu’s aspiration is for a time when cinema like this garners the acclaim it deserves.
Outsider Films’ Vision
Pranjal stressed the importance of shining a spotlight on the tales and adventures of Ratna, Fatima, Dia, and Sanjana in Ratna Pathak’s Dhak Dhak Film.
