27 June 2023, Mumbai: After a four-year hiatus, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is all set to make a remarkable comeback with her upcoming film, ‘Blind.’ The highly anticipated police procedural, which is an adaptation of the acclaimed 2011 Korean film of the same name, showcases Kapoor in the role of a visually-impaired officer relentlessly pursuing a serial killer.
In the recently released teaser, Sonam Kapoor’s character is portrayed as a determined and tenacious officer who defies her visual impairment to track down the elusive murderer. Although glimpses of the ferocious killer are fleetingly shown, they leave a lasting impression, generating anticipation among fans for the film’s release.
Directed by the talented Sujoy Ghosh, known for his notable works such as ‘Jhankar Beats’ (2003) and ‘Kahaani’ (2012), ‘Blind’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Joining Kapoor are seasoned actors Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey, whose performances are expected to add depth and intrigue to the thrilling narrative.

Her cameo in Vikramaditya Motwane’s thriller ‘Ak vs Ak’ alongside her father Anil Kapoor, brother Harshvardhan Kapoor, and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap showcased her versatility and garnered praise. The film premiered on Netflix India in December 2020.
In a momentous occasion for Sonam Kapoor, she will be attending a reception at the esteemed 10 Downing Street, the official residence and office of UK Prime Minister Rishi Saunak. The reception is part of the India Global Forum’s flagship event, UK-India week, a prestigious gathering celebrating the cultural influence of India across the globe. Sonam Kapoor is expected to speak about India’s rich heritage and its global impact at the event on Wednesday.
