Unhappy news has emerged from the entertainment industry. At the age of 62, screenwriter Sanjay Chouhan, best known for the Irrfan Khan-starring film Paan Singh Tomar, passed dead. Chouhan passed away on January 12th, a Thursday, in a hospital in Mumbai. He has a long history of having chronic liver illness. Sara, Sanjay Chauhan’s daughter, and his wife Sarita are still alive.
Sanjay Chouhan was reputedly born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, where his mother was a teacher and his father worked for the railroads. In Delhi, Sanjay Chauhan began his career as a journalist. After penning the crime drama Bhanwar for Sony TV, he later relocated to Mumbai. According to sources, Sanjay Chauhan’s funeral will take place today at 12.30 pm at the Oshiwara crematorium.
In addition to Paan Singh Tomar, Sanjay Chouhan and Tigmanshu Dhulia wrote Saheb Biwi Gangster. I Am Kalam, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara, and Dhoop are some of his best movies. He was also given the Filmfare Award for Best Story at the same time. He had also written the dialogue for the 2003 film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, starring Sudhir Mishra.
