21 August 2023, Mumbai: Salman Khan has been actively exploring scripts from directors across India in recent months. While “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” and “Tiger 3” were commitments made before the pandemic, there have been ongoing speculations about his next projects. Previously we heard about Salman’s collaboration with director Vishnuvardhan, produced by Karan Johar. Vishnuvardhan’s next action-packed thriller
Salman Khan is gearing up to play a paramilitary officer in Vishnuvardhan’s next action-packed thriller. Prep work for the film has already begun, and Salman is working on achieving a specific look for the role, which includes losing some weight. The yet-untitled Vishnuvardhan film is set to begin filming in mid-November and is expected to release during the Christmas 2024 weekend. It will be shot in multiple schedules.
Preparation for Tiger VS Pathaan
The first schedule, spanning approximately a month from mid-November to mid-December, will be followed by Salman’s year-end break. He will return to the sets around January 10 for another 30 to 45-day schedule. In March/April 2024, Salman will commence work on “Tiger vs Pathaan,” one of India’s biggest action films, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. Filming for this epic action thriller will continue until the end of May.
Salman Khan is then expected to resume work on the final schedule of Vishnuvardhan’s film in June, aiming to wrap it up by the end of July. This schedule is tentative, and adjustments may be made based on the progress of “Tiger vs Pathaan.” YRF is currently planning to commence “Tiger vs Pathaan” at the end of March or early April.
Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya duo is back
After completing these two action-packed films, Salman will explore his softer side with Sooraj Barjatya in a family drama titled “Prem Ki Shaadi.” This film is set to go on floors by late 2024 or early 2025, and it follows the classic tradition of heartwarming films that Salman and Sooraj Barjatya have created over the years. Casting for the film is expected to begin by the end of this year.
In total, Salman Khan will be shooting for over 125 days across these three confirmed projects: Vishnuvardhan’s film, “Tiger vs Pathaan,” and “Prem Ki Shaadi.” While he has received offers for other projects in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinema, Salman is taking his time to finalize his lineup. For now, his focus remains on these three exciting ventures with renowned banners- Dharma, YRF, and Rajshri, respectively.
