22nd April 2023, Mumbai: Salman Khan, known for releasing his films on Eid and delivering box office hits, released his latest film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ on Friday for his fans. However, it seems that this time his film hasn’t resonated well with the audience.
While ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ has garnered good response in certain mass circuits, its performance in metro cities has been poor. The film’s all-India collections are estimated to be around Rs 14 crore nett, but this figure could potentially rise to Rs 15 crore nett if the film performs well in markets like Maharashtra and Gujarat. Currently, the movie is performing better in circuits such as UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Nizam/Andhra. However, the focus will be on the Maharashtra-Gujarat regions in the coming days to see if the movie can improve its box office numbers there.
Salman Khan has a history of delivering massive box office numbers on the first day of his Eid releases. For instance, ‘Bharat’ had earned a whopping Rs 41 crore nett, and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had collected around Rs 26 crore nett on its opening day.
Farhad Samji has directed ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which features a star-studded cast including Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and others. Although the film is said to be inspired by the Tamil movie ‘Veeram’, Farhad clarified that it is not exactly a remake or adaptation. He mentioned to the media that their movie offers a completely unique experience, and viewers who have seen ‘Veeram’ would perceive their film as an independent creation.
