After a short trip to Dubai, Bollywood icon and superstar Salman Khan has come back to Mumbai. He recently had posted on social media from Dubai after the incident of gunfire near his home in Bandra area in Mumbai, where he lives with his parents Salim Khan and Salma Khan. Salman shared a video about an event by Karate Combat that he attended in Dubai on April 20. The actor was seen at Mumbai airport on Sunday morning, with security guards and his trusted bodyguard Shera by his side.
Salman Khan looked stylish in a black t-shirt and white pants when he came out of the airport and headed towards his car. A police escort was in front of his vehicle with a strong security presence to ensure his safety.
High Security Arrangements
The worldwide known actor visited Dubai on Friday for work after the shooting incident outside his home last Sunday. He arrived at the airport in his bulletproof SUV which he bought in 2023 for enhanced safety. Posting a video on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Salman Khan wrote, “Hope to see you tomorrow…”
In the video, Salman Khan mentioned, “So I’m in Dubai now and tomorrow I’m going to be at this event called Karate Combat. I won’t say much about the event, you’ll see for yourself, but I want to share a story with you. I know this kid who was into taekwondo and jiu jitsu since the age of 2, and then one day we lost contact.”
Salim Khan’s response after the firing incident
While Salman Khan has not commented on the shooting incident yet, his father Salim Khan talked to the media publication India Today about the incident. Salim Khan said “What’s there to talk about? These illiterate people say that they’ll kill my son. They say you’ll learn your lesson when we’ll kill you. We’ve been given extra police protection. The security has been increased. Mumbai Police has assured protection for us, our family and our friends. If they’ve arrested two people today, that means they’re on it,”
Two people were arrested
Police had arrested both the accused men regarding the firing outside Salman Khan’s house. Both the accused men were arrested from Bhuj, Gujarat. Both the accused were then brought to Mumbai. Mumbai Police team went to Gujarat and arrested both the accused. According to the Crime Branch sources, the names of the two arrested accused men are Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21). Both the accused shooters are residents of Masih, which falls in the West Champaran of Bihar. According to the Police reports, many cases like theft, chain snatching are already registered against both of them.
Mumbai Police had also detained two people from Panvel, Maharashtra. Reportedly, both of them had sold a second hand motorbike to the two shooters who opened fire in front of Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai. Salman Khan’s farmhouse is also in Panvel, so it is evident that now the police are also finding out whether the shoot was planned to target Salman Khan’s farmhouse as well.
