At a press conference for the movie, Salman Khan, who will shortly make his Telugu film debut with a cameo in GodFather, discussed the continuing conflict between south films and Bollywood. The actor talked about how Bollywood films struggle to acquire pan-Indian acceptance whereas movies from the south have no trouble doing so.
Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara are the main actors of GodFather. The movie has Salman in a cameo. The Malayalam film Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal, was remade as the Telugu movie. As part of the movie’s promotion, Salman and Chiranjeevi spoke at a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday.
Salman said to Chiranjeevi during the press conference, “Your films are being accepted here but our films aren’t acceptable there.” The south star responded, “We are here to take you. This is among the explanations for my request that Sallu Bhai appear in the movie.
