Sakshi Tanwar as Mandodari
Now the recent reports suggest that the directors have cast Sakshi Tanwar as Mandodari, Ravan’s wife, in the Ramayana. A source told that Nitesh already has a perfect cast in place for Ramayana, adding that Sakshi is decided as Mandodari, Ravan’s wife. She is excited to share screen time with KGF star Yash and has been going to team script-reading sessions. According to the source, not just her, but even Lara Dutta and Rakul Preet Singh were part of the reading sessions. Lara is supposedly going to play the lead role of Kaikeyi, while Rakul will play the lead role of Shurpanakha.
Star Cast
In Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. The movie will be high on VFX
The visual effects of Ramayana, which have been handled by an Oscar-winning team, would ‘blow’ the audience away. According to the source, “Nitesh Tiwari and his team have been hard at work crafting the Ramayana universe, and the blueprint is now complete.” The Oscar-winning company DNEG created the VFX plates, and fans would be in for a mind-blowing experience.” The source went on to say that the Ramayana’s power lies not in its visuals but in its straightforward narrative and gripping inter-character emotions.
Part One will end with Sita Haran
Part one of the movie will focus more on Lord Ram and Sita Maa’s characters. Raavan won’t have much screen space in the first part. The movie will end with Sita Haran, where we will be introduced to the character of Yash, which will be Ravaan. Sunny Deol as Hanuman will also have less screen time in Part 1. He will have a full-fledged role in the other two parts.
