Rohit Shetty is well recognised for his ensemble and comedic movies. In addition to the Singham series, which transitioned from Ajay Devgn’s machismo to Ranveer Singh’s charisma in the hit Golmaal franchise films, he also produced
“I will never tackle a dark film”, Rohit Shetty admitted in his signature direct style. “Thrillers that feature two actors in a small room and are shot in the dark. Never could I manage that. It isn’t a component of my system.” He also recognised that his fans don’t anticipate him to produce dark movies. “That is not my audience either. I am content to serve and cater to my audience since I am aware of what they anticipate from me. ,” he replied.
Further explaining his disinterest in serious and dark movies, Rohit Shetty said, “I don’t like those kinds of movies, which is another reason I can’t make a dark movie. Every time I consider shooting something similar, it seems absurd to me. Even when I have to film a scene with two actors in a small space, I have no idea what will happen. ‘Main kyun kar raha hoon ye sab?’ I ponder.”
His films are known for their larger-than-life, colourful, and action-packed backdrops. “Scenes, films, and their canvas should be big,” he admitted. “I’ll tell them to call 1000 if there are 100 performers on the set. I’ll claim 150 should be here if there are 25 cars on the set.”
With his most recent film, Cirkus, Rohit Shetty has put together another ensemble cast that comprises comedic talents like Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, and Ranveer Singh. Ranveer and Varun both play double roles in the movie.
