Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt just celebrated a month as parents to Raha. Ranbir, who was in Jeddah for the Red Sea Film Festival, discussed fatherhood and how he and Alia plan to manage work and family life now. He also mentioned that having a child hasn’t struck him yet, and that he’s still getting acclimated to being a father.
During a conversation at the event, the actor was asked how he planned to continue working, according to a video provided by Brut. Before replying, Ranbir stated how much he enjoys being a dad and how he never anticipated to feel this way. He went on to say that Alia and he regularly talk about the values they want to instil on their child. “There’s empathy, kindness, respect towards elders, equality… so many different things you have imbibed from your parents or life that you want to pass on to the child,” he said.
However, he noted that the most essential thing is to lead by example and to embody those values first and foremost. Ranbir stated that because children learn more via experience, it is crucial for parents to embody these emotions and traits. You must be these folks.’ Coming back to work, Ranbir Kapoor stated that he and Alia both cherish their personal time. “I don’t work a lot, about 180-200 days. She does a lot more work and is way more busy. But we will balance it out. Maybe I’ll take a break when she’s working, or she can, when I am out for work,” he replied.
The Tamasha star described it as a “amazing time.” “A few of years ago, we were boyfriend-girlfriend, then husband and wife.” I was just telling her that the words “I have a daughter” had not yet sunk me. This cannot be overstated. I may say it in interviews, but every time I say ‘daughter,’ I think to myself, ‘Woah, what is this?’ “I have stars in my head,” he explained.
Ranbir Kapoor was also probed about how his life has changed since becoming a father. “I’m wondering why I took so long,” he said hastily. I should’ve became a father sooner.” He then revealed his greatest fear, stating that when his children reach the age of 20, he will be 60. “Will I be able to join them in football?” “Run with them?” he said, adding that it’s an experience he’s never had before.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently filming Sandeep Reddy’s Animal. He also has a romance film with Luv Ranjan, in which he co-stars with Shraddha Kapoor.
