The epic action movie Salaar:
Part 1-Ceasefire, which is set in 2023 in Telugu, is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. In addition to Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in the supporting roles, the film stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film centers on the friendship between Varadha (Prithviraj), the prince of Khansaar, and Deva (Prabhas), a tribesman, and is set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar. Varadha enlists Deva’s assistance to take the Khansaar throne from his father’s ministers and relatives as they plot a coup.

Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire made ₹95 crore in its own country on its opening day, while it brought in a total of ₹178.7 crore worldwide. It was largely met with favourable reviews from reviewers and went on to become the highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2023, the third-highest Telugu movie ever, the fourth-highest Indian movie of 2023, and the eleventh-highest Indian movie of all time. It has made between ₹705 and ₹715 crore globally.
Sequel
Salaar: Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam, the film’s sequel, is currently under production. Kiragandur announced in January 2024 that the sequel will be released in the latter part of 2025 and that the script is ready. The actor of the movie, Bobby Simha, recently stated in an interview that they will start shooting for the movie in April. The date could be 12 April. Reports suggest that they are targeting Vijaya Dashami’s release in 2025. With “Salaar 2,” director Prashanth Neel, who also directed the popular “KGF” franchise and is renowned for his meticulous approach to filmmaking, has already accomplished a great deal.

With ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’s success, fans throughout the world were more anticipating the highly anticipated sequel. The film now has a strong chart performance and is available for streaming on several OTT platforms.
