21st June 2023,Mumbai: Actor Kangana Ranaut’s portrayal of Sita in the film The Incarnation Sita has the full support of Sunil Lahri, who played Lakshman in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan. Sunil also urged people not to “mess with culture” in a recent interview. After that, Kangana responded to his comment on her Instagram. In response to criticism of Adipurush, a reworking of the Hindu epic Ramayana, Kangana responded.
Heavy criticism has been levelled against Adipurush for its dialogue, informal language, and VFX. Adipurush co-writer Manoj Muntashir revealed that the sentences will be changed after receiving criticism. Prabhas plays Raghav (Ram), Kriti Sanon plays Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh (Raavan) in the movie Adipurush. It is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar. The film was released in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil last week.
“Mujhe Kangana ki film se puri umeed hai ki who aesa kuch nahi karegi aur jo bhi karegi usse us chavi mein badhotri hi hogi,” Sunil Lahri added. “I have complete faith in Kangana’s performance in this movie that she won’t do anything inappropriate and that whatever she does will accurately portray the role. Baki dusre logo ke liye main kuch keh nahi sakta lekin apne tajurbe padh yeh advice dunga ki apne Sanskriti se khilwaad na karen. I can’t speak for other individuals, but from my experience, I’d say to not interfere with culture.”
On Wednesday, Kangana reposted a post about the piece on Instagram. Despite not adding a caption, Kangana added several emojis of folded hands. She tagged Sunil as well.
Kangana will play Sita in the lead role of The Incarnation Sita, it was announced in 2021. Alaukik Desai will handle the direction of the movie. “What was once a mirage has become clear. A religious person’s unrealized goal is now a reality. I’m thrilled to have Kangana Ranaut join the team as SITA. Our understanding of our mythology will change as a result of this religious journey. Thank you SS Studio for your unwavering faith and support”, the filmmaker had tweeted at the time. In a tweet screenshot she provided, Kangana wrote, “Thank you for this opportunity.”
