20 August 2023, Mumbai: In the wake of the monumental success of “Gadar 2: The Katha Continues,” every action, or lack thereof, taken by Sunny Deol is met with heightened attention and curiosity.
The Rumours of Border 2
Recent reports, however, fall into the realm of the latter, with last week’s confident announcement on a prominent entertainment portal suggesting a sequel to the 1997 war epic “Border.” The purported sequel, “Border 2,” was touted as a reunion between Sunny Deol and JP Dutta, the original film’s director.
However, upon closer examination, the notion of “Border 2” began to unravel like a fragile house of cards.
Border 2 is not happening?
JP Dutta promptly dismissed the swirling speculations as unworthy of attention. A source closely connected to the seasoned director further commented on the matter, questioning the origins of such claims. “Where does this come from?” they mused. It was pointed out that “Border” had graced screens twenty-six years ago, and despite its success, Sunny Deol and JP Dutta have not collaborated since. The director did approach Sunny Deol with “LOC Kargil,” but the actor declined the offer. In fact, the source revealed that the two have not even crossed paths for years.
