26th August 2023, Mumbai: Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God 2’ faced tough competition as it clashed with Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ at the box office on August 11. While the film enjoyed a strong run initially, it seems to be experiencing a slowdown in its collection as it enters its 15th day at the box office.
Challenging Journey for ‘OMG 2’
‘Oh My God 2’ starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, had generated high anticipation among audiences. A sequel to the 2012 blockbuster, the film garnered attention for its unique storyline and star-studded cast, including Paresh Rawal.
OMG 2 Day 15 Collection
On its 15th day, August 25, ‘OMG 2’ managed to add around Rs 1.80 crore nett to its overall collection in India. However, this figure represents its lowest collection to date. As a result, the film’s total box office earnings now stand at Rs 128.22 crore. Despite this, ‘OMG 2’ struggled to maintain its momentum, facing challenges from other releases and growing competition.
OMG 2’s Competition and Occupancy
With an overall occupancy rate of 23.53 per cent on August 25, ‘OMG 2’ faced the challenge of sustaining its audience turnout amidst new releases and ongoing competition. The film’s performance at the box office is further complicated by the release of ‘Dream Girl’ on the same day, adding to the competition.

Directed by Amit Rai, ‘Oh My God 2’ showcases Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva. The satirical comedy-drama also stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil of “Ramayan” fame.
