Bigg Boss 16, the Salman Khan-hosted reality series, premiered earlier this month to much acclaim. However, the contestant introduction of filmmaker Sajid Khan caused controversy for the event. Several women accused the filmmaker of s*xual assault and harassment during the #MeToo movement. Farah Khan, another sibling of his, responded to the accusation.
The filmmaker may be content in the BB house, but many people outside the building want him out right away. According to recent sources, the director won’t be asked to leave the production.
Saloni Chopra, Aahana Kumra, Sherlyn Chopra, and a journalist had made #metoo charges against Sajid Khan back in 2018. Farah Khan, his sister who is a dancer and a director, has spoken out in favour of these women.
“This is a painful time for my family,” the director of Om Shanti Om tweeted. “We have a lot of challenging problems to solve. If my brother acted in this way, he has much to make up for. I steadfastly support any woman who has been harmed and I in no way condone this behaviour.”
Sajid Khan resigned as the director of the 2019 film Housefull 4, which stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh among others in prominent roles, while Farah Khan received criticism for her remark.
