20 May 2023, Mumbai: New developments have emerged in the ongoing controversy surrounding the arrest of Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in a high-profile drug case. Alleged chats between Shah Rukh Khan and former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede have surfaced, revealing Khan’s concerns for his son’s well-being and pleading for his release from jail.
A Father’s innocent plea or influencing emotionally?
According to reports, the alleged chats took place on October 3, 2021, where Shah Rukh Khan requested Sameer Wankhede not to arrest Aryan Khan in the Cordelia cruise drug bust case. Screenshots of these chats were shared in a report, highlighting Khan’s emotional appeal to spare his son from the difficulties of jail. In the alleged messages, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his fear that Aryan would “break as a human being” and that his spirit would be destroyed due to the circumstances. Khan requested Wankhede to reform his child instead of subjecting him to a harsh environment where he might come out “battered and broken.”
Furthermore, Khan vowed to approach those involved and plead with them to stop making any damaging statements against Wankhede. He assured Wankhede of his commitment to using his influence to rectify the situation and requested his son’s release, emphasizing the toll the situation had taken on Aryan. It’s worth noting that the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) has accused Sameer Wankhede in an alleged extortion case involving a sum of Rs 25 crore related to Aryan Khan’s arrest. Wankhede has reportedly presented the alleged WhatsApp conversations with Shah Rukh Khan as evidence to support his claim of innocence.
These alleged chats have ignited further public interest and discussions surrounding the high-profile case. The authenticity and implications of these conversations are yet to be verified, but they undoubtedly shed light on the emotional turmoil experienced by Shah Rukh Khan and his relentless efforts to protect his son.
