Just 4 days remain until Pathaan’s major release, and anticipation is at an all-time high. Despite the Besharam Rang controversy, the Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan starrer is getting a resounding response in advance booking. In the midst of it all, self-described critic KRK has made some stunning claims, leaving followers in amazement.
There are a lot of demands placed on SRK. This movie might either advance or destroy his career. After the Zero fiasco, he took a four-year hiatus and examined his writing decisions. His two upcoming movies, Jawan and Dunki, both depend in some way on how well the Siddharth Anand-directed film does at the box office.
As most people are aware, Shah Rukh Khan has declined to promote Pathaan in person. John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and the superstar did not give any interviews. True control of the movie now rests with the audience. KRK, however, asserts that the filmmakers are paying critics and influencers Rs 1-2 lakhs in exchange for a favourable review of the movie.
KRK tweeted, “A company called #OneImpression contacted me n asked me to do promotion of #Pathaan. They said, producers have asked them to pay to all critics & influencers. I asked them to pay me ₹1Cr.???? They were shocked after hearing this. They said, they are paying max ₹1-2 Lakh to every1”
Here’s the tweet by KRK:
However, the box office advance booking statistics show that Pathaan doesn’t require a purpose to do compensated reviews, making the information difficult to believe. The movie is anticipating a massive opening after adding 15 crores to its coffers already. Regardless of what the critics and influencers say, word-of-mouth will be crucial.
