25th September 2023, Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan” continues to maintain its momentum at the box office, collecting a total of ₹560 crore in India after 18 days of release. The film, directed by Atlee and starring Nayanthara alongside Shah Rukh Khan, earned ₹15 crore on its third Sunday.
Jawan Box Office collection
According to early estimates reported, “Jawan” is expected to cross ₹1000 crore in gross worldwide box office collections. In India, the film’s Hindi version recorded an occupancy rate of around 33.64 percent on Sunday. The Tamil and Telugu versions had occupancies of around 46 percent and 24.86 percent, respectively. “Jawan” has already surpassed the domestic collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s previous blockbuster “Pathaan,” which had a lifetime collection of ₹543 crore. To exceed “Pathaan’s” worldwide gross collection, “Jawan” needs to cross the ₹1050 crore mark, which seems achievable given its current performance.

The film features Vijay Sethupathi as the lead antagonist, with Shah Rukh Khan playing a dual role as a father and son. Nayanthara made her Hindi film debut with “Jawan,” and the ensemble cast also includes Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo, along with Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Eijaz Khan, and oothers Shah Rukh Khan, who conducted a fan interaction event, expressed his appreciation for the character of Narmada as a single mom in the film, although he noted that her screen time was limited.
Jawan Competition
Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear in Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki.” Speaking at the success event of “Jawan,” he mentioned the release schedule, starting with “Pathaan” on Republic Day, followed by “Jawan” on Janmashtami, and “Dunki” for New Year and Christmas, emphasizing his commitment to releasing films on festive occasions.
