The film, despite a mixed critical reception and moral controversies surrounding its intense content, has garnered overwhelming support from audiences, outpacing even Kapoor’s own creation, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.”
Global Domination on Day 1
“Animal” stormed onto the global stage on its opening day, amassing an impressive 116 crores gross worldwide. This achievement marked it as the third Bollywood film to achieve a century on its debut, following the footsteps of “Pathaan” and “Jawan.” The momentum continued on the second day, with a staggering 120 crores gross, solidifying its unstoppable journey in the worldwide box office arena.
Surpassing Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Beyond
In a proof to its box office prowess, “Animal” has not only crossed the lifetime earnings of Ranbir Kapoor’s previousventure, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,” standing at 221.28 crores gross, but has also surpassed the collections of Salman Khan’s “Tubelight” and Ajay Devgn-led “Total Dhamaal.” With a current standing at 236 crores gross after two days, the film sets the stage for surpassing Kapoor’s “Brahmastra” within a week.

The box office monster that is “Animal” is on the brink of eclipsing another monumental record, aiming to surpass the lifetime gross of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial debut, “Kabir Singh.” With a lifetime collection of 368.32 crores gross, “Kabir Singh” is set to be surpassed by “Animal,” reinforcing the film’s stature as a colossal force in the cinematic realm.
