Actress Priyanka Chopra recently visited Kenya and spoke about the hardships faced by the women and children in the Ghana region. Priyanka expressed her grief over the incident in a recent interview. The star claimed that she couldn’t fathom what it would do to her mental condition if her child were to “cry out of hunger for days and days.”
Priyanka was questioned about her plans to visit Kenya again and what she had learned during her stay in an interview with the local television station NTV. Priyanka said, “Yes, I do intend to return and I do want to. I’m hoping that will happen in a better situation. What I’ve discovered is that people have remarkable tenacity, generosity, and warmth even during the most trying circumstances. As a new mother in particular, I found it particularly distressing to witness the suffering of so many children when I visited the Ghana region.”
Added she, “I can’t even begin to fathom what it would do to my mental health if my child cried continuously for food for days on end. It only goes to show how strong people can be, especially women, to watch those women standing by their kids for days without eating to make sure they eat. That serves as inspiration for me as I return home. I intend to return to Kenya in a more favourable situation.”
