Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he and Dharmendra used to play rummy while travelling to the filming locations for their classic movie, Sholay. Amitabh was stating during an episode of his well-known game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show’s fourteenth season is now being hosted by the seasoned actor.
Amitabh related a story about his experience working on the Ramesh Sippy film after one of the candidates, Deepesh, expressed his love for Sholay and how iconic the behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast are to him. ‘Dharam ji aur hum toh ek he gaadi mein set tak jaate the, takriban 45-50 minutes lagte the hotel se set tak pahuchne mein, saath mein baith ke cards, rummy khelte journey karte the’ (Dharamendra ji and I used to travel by the same car and it took us around 45-50 minutes to reach the sets)
The competitor also inquired of Amitabh about his relationship with the movie’ villains. “We are all extremely close friends,” Amitabh stated. After the shooting is over, we converse and have fun together. We even apologise when there are action sequences by stating, “I will have to hit you, forgive me.” If you want to hit me afterwards, feel free”
The 1975 film Sholay, which is regarded as a Hindi classic and continues to be one of the most recognisable in the performers’ careers. Amjad Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Hema Malini, and Sanjeev Kumar were also present. The film was written by the renowned author team Salim-Javed.
