Love Today
Love Today is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Pradeep Ranganathan in his second directorial venture after Comali, and produced by Kalapathi S. Aghoram under the banner of AGS Entertainment. Archana Kalpathi is the creative producer for the film. The film starred Pradeep Ranganathan himself (in his acting debut), with Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, Sathyaraj, and Radhika Sarathkumar appearing in supporting roles. The film’s music and score were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography handled by Dinesh Purushothaman and editing done by Pradeep E. Ragav. It proved to be a commercial and critical success.
Official Hindi Remake
Love Today emerged as one of the biggest surprise hits of 2022 and helped Pradeep Ranganathan begin his acting career on a good note. The film is now set to be remade in Hindi. The Bollywood remake of Love Today will be produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment. It will mark the latter’s maiden Hindi venture. Love Today was shot in Tamil and later dubbed in Telugu.
Junaid and Khushi will head this remake
Khushi Kapoor, who made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, is all set to star opposite Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan. The duo will be collaborating for the first time on-screen for the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Love Today, which starred Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana. There is no official confirmation, but there are reports of them doing the project. A source close to Khushi says, “Junaid and Khushi loved their respective roles and decided that this was a big offer. We hear they did not take long to say ‘yes’.”
Other projects of Khushi and Junaid
The actress is currently filming Naadaniyaan, which marks Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan’s second film after Sarzameen. Dharma Productions, led by Karan Johar, is supporting the movie. According ”o reports, Shauna Gautam will be directing the movie for the first time. It will be released straight to OTT. Ibrahim will make his Bollywood debut in Dharma’s Sarzameen, which also stars Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is helmed by Boman Irani’s son, Kayoze Irani.
Aamir’s son has acted in a film titled ‘Maharaja’, bankrolled by Yash Raj, which is ready and awaiting release. ‘Maharaja’ also stars Sharvari Wagh and Jaideep Ahlawat.
