7th April,2024, Mumbai: The actress Somy Ali claims that even after a long period of time, she is still affected by her ex-boyfriend’s harsh remarks, which included labelling her worthless without him. She claims that each success she has puts her one step closer to disproving him.
Somy Ali Was Selected As 2013 L’Oréal Woman of Worth
“I was overjoyed to be selected as a 2013 L’Oréal Woman of Worth for my contributions to NMT. Even though they are all honours, they assist me overcome the persistent belief that I can never amount to anything without the support of a specific ex-boyfriend. It eliminates the reality that I am worthless, even though I have been taught this repeatedly. I am happiest when I accomplish this since only I know how hard I have fought to disprove the opinions of several individuals,” she says.
What makes Somy Ali Happy?
When asked what brings her joy, she replies, “Watching biographies is my favourite thing to do when I’m not working.” I’m a naturally curious person who enjoys learning new things. I like to swim, and I recently made the decision to pick up badminton again because I used to love it so much as a child. Recall that within everyone of us lies a little child who is fully alive, regardless of how hard we try to suppress it. And that’s a wonderful thing because it forces us to take a break from the routine activities of daily life and, at least for me, provides me a break from constantly seeing trauma.
“My happiest day was when I received an award from President George H. Walker Bush and President Barack Obama,” she continues. You know, when you’ve been told you’re worthless for as long as you can remember, you use that as motivation to show those losers how wrong they are, and that was significant to me.
Somy Ali loves watching old Mumtazji and kakaji movies in her free time
She adds, “I love spending time with my mum and watching old Mumtazji and kakaji movies,” when asked what makes her instantly happy. They seemed like the ideal couple to me, followed by Amitji and Rekhaji. I enjoy reading the newspapers in the morning, which have news from Pakistan, India, and the United States, and I love coffee. All in all, I consider each of these nations to be home to a small portion of me. Watching biographies of people who defied expectations and achieved success is something I really enjoy doing. That’s where my strength comes from. Never give up. Additionally, avoid being with people who make you feel inferior or self-conscious. Keep in mind that just because someone says something negative about you, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. Above all, be authentic in your speech. Avoid wearing a filter or sugarcoating others. Nothing is more freeing than being who you truly are.
