Hanuman Ansh’s massive box-office success has now been followed by a TV show on Neem Karoli Baba. Sony Entertainment Television unveiled the first promo for Neem Karori Baba on September 30. The series will also stream on SonyLIV, although its premiere date has not been announced yet.

The promo offers the first look at the upcoming series and its spiritual theme. It points to stories and miraculous accounts connected with Neem Karoli Baba’s life. The announcement arrives as Hanuman Ansh continues to draw attention after its strong theatrical performance.

Neem Karoli Baba TV Show Promo Reveals Its Spiritual Focus

The Neem Karori Baba promo focuses on the spiritual guru and the stories associated with him. It uses imagery connected to Baba and Lord Hanuman without revealing much about the series. The makers have yet to disclose its full cast or episode count.

A voiceover in the promo says, "Jis insaan ki kahaaniyon ne desh ko mantramugdh kar diya, ab saamne aayengi unki zindagi se judi chamatkari gaathayein." The line introduces the series as an exploration of the remarkable stories surrounding Neem Karoli Baba. Sony Entertainment Television will air the show, with episodes available on SonyLIV.

What Is Hanuman Ansh About?

Hanuman Ansh is a devotional drama based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj Ji. Vishal Chaturvedi directed the film, with Shobhinaw Satyaa portraying Baba. Purnima Tiwari plays Ram Beti, while Chandan K Anand appears in a pivotal role.

The film was released in theatres on August 7, 2026. It opened with around Rs 10 lakh before its collections grew over the following weeks. According to Sacnilk, the film reached Rs 314.63 crore in India and Rs 410.75 crore worldwide by Day 55.

Hanuman Ansh recorded its biggest gains after a slow opening at the box office. Made on a reported budget of less than Rs 2 crore, it gradually expanded its theatrical audience. Its domestic collection later crossed the Rs 100 crore mark before its worldwide gross moved past Rs 400 crore.

The film also brought an unexpected casting change before production was completed. Shobhinaw Satyaa was initially working as an assistant director when the actor selected to play Baba became unavailable. Chaturvedi then tested Satyaa for the part and eventually cast him as Neem Karoli Baba.

Who Was Neem Karoli Baba?

Neem Karoli Baba was a 20th-century Hindu spiritual teacher and a devotee of Lord Hanuman. His birth name was Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, and followers widely knew him as Maharaj Ji. He became closely associated with Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand, which remains linked to his spiritual legacy.

Neem Karoli Baba died in 1973, but his teachings continued to influence followers in India and abroad. His legacy is strongly connected with devotion, love and service. The upcoming television series will now bring stories from his life to a wider television audience.
