Mirabai Skips Final Lift Ahead Of Asian Games
Mirabai recovered brilliantly after missing her opening attempts in the competition. She responded by lifting 85kg in the snatch and breaking a new Commonwealth record before lifting 105kg in the clean and jerk to set a new Commonwealth Games record in the discipline.
The lift not only secured the gold but also broke the clean and jerk Commonwealth Games record. Now that the contest was already sealed, Mirabai decided not to take unnecessary risks and skipped her third attempt to keep in mind the Asian Games being held less than two months from now.
