26th May 2023, Mumbai: Piloo Vidyarthi discussed her popular “cryptic posts” and her decision to keep her last name after her divorce in an exclusive conversation with HT.
Piloo Vidyarthi is much more than simply the ex-wife and daughter of actor Ashish Vidyarthi and Bengali diva ShakuntalaBarua. She is also an actress, singer, and former radio host. She expressed her joy at Ashish’s marriage to Rupali Barua in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times. Piloo, as RajoshiBarua, responds to the news of her ex-husband’s second shot in love differently than one might anticipate. She sees it as something beyond the controversies.
Finding love again at 60, when you might be too exhausted to give it much thought, is uncommon. Please describe your relationship with Ashish Vidyarthi.
Piloo Vidyarthi you are spot on; it’s uncommon!
People are bound to the myth that in order to go through the process (of separation), one must struggle, be abused, and cause a spectacle. Some folks simply can’t handle it when it’s done gently and artistically by two individuals. They only require a topic of conversation. They say that one of us has to be the defaulter.”
“However, we are parents together. I am his friend and am only a phone call away, Hanth barale amake pabe. He is with me, I know, whenever I need him and vice versa.”
Do you have any comments regarding Rupali Barua?
Piloo Vidyarthi I’ll say it again: it’s unusual to discover someone like Rupali. People are making remarks because they find charity to be offensive. I consider myself to be quite open. People who know me, my admirers, and following understand that I am the same person on the inside and out. I haven’t endured any torture. After we made a choice, Ashish met Rupali. He is a decent man. He is a decent man. Can’t we ask for a little courtesy from others? Please bless us for our unique journeys. We are friends, and that will never change.
A few portals mentioned your enigmatic Instagram posts. Do you know about it?
Piloo Vidyarthi: I did notice those. When I awoke in the morning, Arth informed me of the reports. He is so funny. ‘I don’t even comprehend these stuff on Instagram,’ I exclaimed. I’m going bonkers. Why even did I do it? (laughs).
“The problem is that I don’t think critically about these trivial matters. My heart is my guide. Later, I removed those posts. I didn’t do that on purpose. Normally, after reading these quotes, I will share them on social media. However, I ought to have used my wits. My buddies had previously advised me to keep these things to myself. I tend to be more emotionally driven. I tend to forget these things.”
You are still listed as Piloo Vidyarthi on Instagram. Do you intend to rename yourself?
Piloo Vidyarthi: I’m not even thinking about anything right now. I’ll remain the same person I always was. Time is everything. I’ll do it if I have to. When you have a point to make, you take these actions. I have no case to make. Look at what I was and what I am today, I say. Ami ei chilam. Ami akhun ei hoye gechi. What is a name related to this? Just a name, really. I’ll keep being Piloo Vidyarthi.
