Koffee With Karan 9: Karan Johar Does It Again, Asks Salman Khan ‘Are You Still Virgin?’

Salman Khan is back on the Koffee With Karan couch, and Karan Johar has revived one of their most memorable exchanges. In the new promo for Season 9, the filmmaker once again asks the superstar about his virginity, bringing back a question that made headlines in 2013.

The promo revisits Salman’s appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 4, when Karan asked whether he was still a virgin. This time, the actor responds with a playful warning: “Control, yaar, brother. Control." He then questions Karan about the show's supposed farewell, saying, “Ye aisa toh nahi hai na ki last season bol bol ke you got all of us to do Koffee With Karan?"

During the December 2013 episode, Salman told Karan that he wanted to save himself for his future wife. When asked directly about his virginity, he said yes. He also joked that he had friends but no benefits and preferred sleeping alone. The exchange became one of the show's most widely remembered moments.

The new promo also looks at the pair's long friendship. As Karan talks about leaving the show, Salman references the filmmaker's hit film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and says, “Karan, tusi na jao." Karan then remarks that Salman seems “just a lot more composed". The actor responds with a reflection on his own advice: “All the advice that I’ve given, there has come a time for me to follow my own advices."

Beyond the jokes, the promo touches on Salman’s views about online trolling and paparazzi culture. The topic follows his recent remarks on Bigg Boss 20, where he spoke about the use of phone cameras. Referring to the person who invented the technology, Salman says, “Jisne ye phone mein camera, jisne banaya hai, woh agar kahin mujhe mil gaya."

The conversation also brings the show's famous coffee hamper into the spotlight. Karan tells Salman that he will have to fight for it, prompting the actor to deliver another punchline: “Hamper ke liye kyun ladun, Karan? Pamper ke liye ladunga!"

The ninth season of Koffee With Karan, hosted by Karan Johar, begins streaming on October 14, 2026.
