Akshay Kumar and his wife(producer of Padman) Twinkle Khanna found an innovative way to promote the advantages of menstrual hygiene on Menstrual Hygiene Day on Thursday, using the 2018 release, Film “Pad Man”. The film starred Akshay Kumar while his wife Twinkle is credited together of the producers. Akshay Kumar took to Twitter handle to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day, by discuss about the film.
Tagging his co-Actors Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, Akshay tweeted: “It’s been almost 2 years to #PadMan and i am very happy we managed to push the envelope a touch on this taboo subject. This Menstrual Hygiene Day, I hope we move a step closer towards ending period poverty and stopping taboos surrounding menstruation. @sonamakapoor @radhika_apte.”

Akshay Kumar immediately issued a mock apology to Twinkle and therefore the film’s director R. Balki. The superstar requested his producer wife to not stop his source of income. “Please mere pet pe laat mat maro. Missed tagging the team. Apologies to my producer, @mrsfunnybones, director #RBalki and therefore the man without whom Padman wouldn’t be made @murugaofficial,” tweeted the actor.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has donated Rs. 45 lakh to the Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) in an effort to assist daily-wage workers suffering from the pandemic. Akshay Kumar along side producer Sajid Nadiadwala have directly transferred Rs. 3000 each into the bank accounts of 1500 daily wage workers & needy artist.
