Friends are for life. They are our favourite companions in every phase of our lives. On Friendship Day, French hair and make-up artist Florian Hurel talks about the significance of friendship in his life.
“Friendship is a meaningful word to me as I don’t make friends easily. It’s very important to have the right kind of people in your life. I am very selective when it comes to making friends and keep the ones I love close and cherish them throughout,” says Florian, who has worked with actors like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Janhavi Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Tamannah Bhatia.
Most of our long-lasting friends are from school or college. “I’ve got very strong friends from my pro school when I was about 16 years old. And they are still my close friends,” he shares.
In today’s fast-paced entertainment industry, people have no time for friendship. Florian shares his opinion, “I think the entertainment industry is not a place to make friends. Everyone is here to work and make money and not to sympathize.”
It is often said that two actors can never be friends. “I personally think it is difficult for any actors to be friends as they all have their agendas as per their workload. Then there is the competition factor that adds to all these,” he ends
