Rehana Fathima, popularly known as Suryagayathri, is a Kerala-born advocate for women’s rights in India. She has experience in both modelling and telecommunications, and she has taken part in a number of demonstrations against sexism and moral policing. In October 2018, Fathima made headlines when she and another woman made an effort to visit the Sabarimala temple in Kerala after the Supreme Court decided to abolish the restriction on menstruation women. She has been arrested for allegedly inflammatory Facebook posts and a body painting video as a result of her activism.
