Taylor Swift’s husband Travis Kelce has been named among the victims of a $35 million Ponzi scheme. The revelation came during the sentencing of investment adviser Siddharth Jawahar, who has now received an 11-year prison term.
Jawahar, 38, ran Texas-based investment firm Swiftarc Capital LLC. He pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud in January and was also ordered to pay $31.35 million in restitution.
Travis Kelce Named Among Ponzi Scheme Victims
Kelce’s name came up during Jawahar’s sentencing hearing in St. Louis. However, prosecutors have not revealed when the Kansas City Chiefs star invested with Jawahar or how much money he put into the company.
His exact financial loss also remains unknown. Kelce has not been accused of any wrongdoing in the case.
Jawahar’s company began taking investor money in 2015. Prosecutors said that between July 2016 and December 2023, he received more than $35 million from investors but put only about $10 million into investments.
The scheme centered on a single investment that eventually lost value. Instead of informing clients about the losses, Jawahar allegedly continued telling them their money was generating profits.
He then used funds from newer investors to repay earlier ones. That allowed the operation to continue while concealing the losses.

Prosecutors also said Jawahar used investor money to support an expensive lifestyle. The spending included private jet travel, luxury apartments, private club memberships and costly outings.
The case involved 64 victims, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Jawahar was also accused of trying to interfere with the investigation after his indictment.
Court records cited by the Associated Press said he attempted to influence a victim’s statement to the FBI. He also allegedly tried to remove evidence from his phone.
Kelce was not the only athlete connected to Swiftarc. A 2021 Forbes report also identified NBA players Gary Harris, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Mason Plumlee among athletes who had invested with the firm.
For now, details about Kelce’s own investment remain limited. Neither the amount he invested nor any confirmed personal loss has been publicly disclosed.
