Zendaya, a contemporary fashion star, focused on vintage Hollywood glitz for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The Euphoria actress wore a strapless all-black Valentino ball gown with a corseted bodice, a circular train, and pockets, styled by image architect Law Roach.
The vintage bouffant hairstyle was paired with Bulgari jewels and pulled back with a black satin headband.
In a photo of herself wearing the outfit, Zendaya said in the caption, “I’m on my way to the 2022 Emmys.”
For her performance on Euphoria, Zendaya, 26, was nominated in four categories, including best drama series and, for the second consecutive year, outstanding lead actress in a drama series, for which she won the trophy.
Shortly after her victory, Roach shared an Instagram photo of the celebrity getting ready for the red carpet with the caption “she’s a WINNER Baby.”
Her musical contributions to “Elliot’s Song” and “I’m Tired” earned her nominations for outstanding original music and lyrics. Zendaya is becoming the first Black woman to receive nominations for both acting and songwriting in the same year.
Zendaya is a groundbreaking talent who is also a major force in the fashion industry. She has served up a stunning variety of looks since her early red carpet performances.
She attended the TIME 100 Gala wearing an antique color-blocked Bob Mackie gown from the Fall 1998 collection while being recognised as one of TIME 100’s Most Influential People of 2022.
