The Review:
Avinash( Abhishek Bachchan), also known as J, is presently receiving care for his ailment at a mental health facility. Three years had passed since his daughter was freed from his control, and he killed four people in retaliation for an undetermined reason. You may recall that due to the Raavan concept, following the fantastic season 1, he is now compelled to serve time in jail while also murdering the other 6. Scales explains how, in this season of Breathe: Into the Shadows, he is able to confront and placate his alter ego.
The exciting cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh, Nithya Menon, Saiyami Kher, and Naveen Kasturia, had a not-so-exciting season. Mayank Sharma created and directed the show, which is currently streaming on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video. There are a total of 8 episodes, with each lasting roughly 45 minutes.
The previous season had plenty of terrifying and exciting moments. It aimed to be a metaphorical story about a man who is overtaken by a violent alter ego out for vengeance. It talked about Raavan and the concept of eliminating each of his ten heads, which represent a different evil. Now that season 2 has begun, Mayank Sharma (plot, screenplay, director) and his team—minus the talented writer Bhavani Iyer—are joined by Arshad Syed, Vikram Tuli, Priya Saggi, and they have the task of taking that unsteady basis and building a castle that will stand firm despite the tremors.
Considering performance The transition from being good to evil was flawlessly executed by Abhishek Bachchan in every scene of the series. The Junior Bachchan has significantly improved over the previous season, making it worthwhile to watch him in this type of role. Nithya Menon’s performance was good and decent but it could have been better. It reminds me of simple salt on food. Regarding Amit Sadh’s role, it was the same as in the previous seasons and didn’t demonstrate any development. After Sayami Kher returned from Special Ops on Hotstar, she appeared in a Web series with Amazon Prime. Her screen was a little faded, but her performance made up for it. One of the series’ standout characters is the contemporary actor Naveen Kasturia. This performance is utterly different from the outstanding ones in TVF shows like Aspirants, Pitchers, and many more. Seeing fresh faces in experimental roles is encouraging. In terms of supporting players, they worked well with the story.
In comparison to previous seasons, this one feels a little slower. Either new faces like Sayami Kher and Naveen Kasturia work a little magic, or the shows are completely uninteresting.
The screenplay wasn’t great at first. There is nothing new about show, poor and basic scripting and the editing was so bad, the spectator was frequently left wondering what was going on.
Overall impression: boring and slow, which was completely unexpected after viewing earlier breath series. In the series, Abhishek, Sayami and Navin are the show’s saviours. . Editing and storyline are lacking. On IMDb, the show has a 7.5 rating.
