In a recent conversation on The Filmy Charcha Podcast, host Rahul Varun sat with Krishnavataram star and Vaaste fame Si dhharth Gupta for an honest chat about Krishnavataram. When actor was told that people had seen not just Krishnavataram but also "Sidhharth Avataram" and said a new superstar had entered the race the actor laughed. The actor stayed grounded and shared "Ye to bahut hi subjective sa ek title aap mujhe de rahe hain jo aapko lagta hai to ye aapka badappan hai. Thank you so much for that. Mujhe lagta hai abhi bas meri shuruaat hui hai. Aur main sirf kaam pe dhyan dena chahta hoon. Jo bhi main kaam karun aur mera concentration usi par rahega. Baaki sab peripheral hai. Mere liye kaam accha karna hai. Sab kuch apne aap apni apni jagah pe aa jaye."
Sidhharth Gupta's On Why Krishnavataram Was Never About Showing Acting
When Rahul Varun asked whether this was the project where he could give his hundred percent as an actor, Sidhharth Gupta gave a thought ful answer. The performer said "Maine aise nahi dekha project ko. To be very honest. Shuruaat alag thi. Phir jab meri preparation start hui to ye bahut hi alag jagah chala gaya. Ye result oriented raha hi nahi. Ye saare maynon se pare ho chuka tha ki yahan pe main acting dikha paunga. Yahan pe ye kar paunga." The actor added "Meri koshish yahi thi ki main har scene clear hoon ki mera thought kya hoga. Thakur ji agar hote unka thought kya hota. I think jab aap ek clarity ke saath ek scene ko enter karte hain to aapki performance apne aap heighten ho jaati."
Sidhharth Gupta's Explains The Biggest Challenge Of Playing Lord Krishna
The Vaaste star explained that Krishna is not a character with dramatic emotional swings. Sidhharth Gupta said "Maine aisa nahi socha. Agar aap dekhenge to actually mein jab aap Kanha play karte hain to aapki range bahut kam hai. This is not a character jahan aap dikha sakte ho ki main chilla sakta hoon ya ro sakta hoon. He is the most objective man who ever walked the earth. Avatar jinhone kaha tha I am God. The only avatar who said I am God in a human form. He does not get fazed. Bahut objectivity thi unmein. Unko result independent the. Itne se mein aapko sab dikhana jo wo feel kar rahe hain us range ke andar. Agar aap upar neeche gaye to aap character chhod rahe ho. Infact utni zyada difficulty thi."
Preparation Removed Fear And Brought A New Perspective
Speaking about comparisons with earlier actors who played Lord Krishna, Sidhharth Gupta admitted "Mere liye ye jo darr tha play karne ka jo logon ne mujhse poocha hai mujhe tha hi nahi kyunki mera dhyan udhar tha hi nahi. Mera dhyan tha sirf preparation. Aur jitna aap read karte hain jitna aap padhte hain padhte hain padhte hain utna hi darr kam hota jaata hai. Side hota jaata hai." Instead of worrying about public opinion, the actor focused on understanding the character through continuous reading and preparation.
Krishnavataram Became A Personal Learning Experience
Sidhharth Gupta revealed that the film transformed the way he looked at life. The actor shared "Mere liye personally ye process bahut hi alag raha hai. Jo normal ek actor preparation hota hai wo mere liye nahi raha. Mere liye actually seekhna tha. Mere liye mera jeevan ka saar main seekh raha tha is movie ke through. Is preparation ke through. Is process ke through." The conversation offered a closer look at the dedication behind one of the actor's most talked about performances.
