26th April,2024, Mumbai: Famous for his roles in the TV series “Diya Aur Baati Hum,” the short film “Main Tumhara,” and the Gujarati film “Fuleku,” actor Amit Das has expressed his thoughts on how people are approaching important relationships and marriages with such reckless abandon. He believes it serves social media purposes more so than fostering genuine human connections.
Amit says you need to spend a lot of time and understand each other if you want to spend your life together.
“We believe that since the release of three or four dating applications, we can simply connect, spend time together, and fall in love. After that, in approximately 15–20 days, we begin to consider getting married, and in about two months, we consider divorcing. Thus, it’s not a quick or simple process. Building a relationship and understanding someone else takes time. He said, “You need to spend a lot of time and understand each other if you want to spend your life together.“The essence of a relationship is how you can help each other by accepting each other’s shortcomings without drawing attention to them or putting them in an awkward situation where a fight could break out,” he continued.
Relationships on social media and in real life are totally different: Amit Das
He also underlined how everyone is focusing on social media, including their relationships. Even while everything appears cheerful on the site, he claimed that things are not as they seem. Relationships are all about Instagram, clips, and pictures, he declared. There are fewer physical connections, but social media connections are now crucial. I get that feeling from seeing how people live in real life and from what I see outside on social media,” he said. “They’re very different from one another, and I find it ridiculous that you can be so fake.” In real life as well, you can’t fake everything since the camera is always on you. You have to be completely true to your role. You have to play a role even when you’re playing and pretending to be in a relationship, but you can never be false in real life, he continued.
How Amit views a successful and ideal relationship?
For Amit, the key to a successful relationship is to be sincere, truthful, and compassionate. Relationships are all about understanding each other’s essence of love and how to push each other’s defects to make it better. He said, “I believe that on special days like Valentine’s Day, it’s better to do something good for your wife or girlfriend, something positive in her life relating to her, rather than making up proposals and buying flowers and stuff like that.
