01 April 2023, Mumbai: Koffee With Karan’s eighth edition is set to premiere in either August or September this year, and reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan will be the first guest, where he is expected to discuss the success of his latest film, Pathaan, and his upcoming projects. However, the show will also feature some fresh faces, as Karan Johar plans to invite popular stars from the South to his couch.
A source disclosed that Yash, the lead actor of the blockbuster KGF franchise, Allu Arjun, who recently starred in the hit movie Pushpa, and Rishab Shetty, known for his work in the film Kantara, along with their respective wives, will also be making their debut appearances on the show. This reflects the growing popularity of Southern stars in the pan-Indian film industry.
Similar to the previous season of Koffee With Karan, the upcoming season will feature fresh and innovative segments that are sure to keep the viewers hooked. The new segments are expected to elicit even more shocking revelations from the biggest stars in the film industry, giving fans an insider’s view of the glamorous world of Bollywood.
Karan Johar has taken up the role of director for his upcoming movie, titled “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”, which is being promoted as a modern romantic film. The cast includes prominent actors such as Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan, all of whom play significant roles in the movie. Filming for the movie began in August 2021 and was carried out in various locations, including Mumbai, Moscow, and Delhi. The anticipated release date for “Rocky Aur Rani” is July 28, 2023.
