The Ministry of Broadcasting and Information hosted the 9th Seva Sushasan Garib Kalyan National Conclave, a significant event that aimed to explore the impact of ‘Yuva Shakti’ or the power of youth in driving positive change across India. The conclave featured six panellists from diverse fields, including Rishab Shetty, Oyo Rooms Founder & CEO Ritesh Agarwal, Patiala gharana musician Amaan Ali Bangash, former Indian hockey player and national captain Viren Rasquinha, CAXpert co-founder Yashodhara Bajoria, and boxer Akhil Kumar. Each panellist addressed the theme of ‘Yuva Shakti: Galvanizing India’ from their respective perspectives.
During the conclave, Rishab Shetty expressed his gratitude for the government’s support to the entertainment industry in reaching the audience effectively. However, he also emphasised the importance of having a Film City in Bengaluru. Rishab highlighted that while the industry is receiving backing from the government, the presence of a dedicated Film City in Bengaluru would further boost the growth and development of the film and entertainment sector in the region.
Bengaluru, often referred to as the “Silicon Valley of India,” is a city known for its vibrant arts and culture scene. With a rich pool of talent and a burgeoning film industry, the establishment of a Film City in Bengaluru holds immense potential. A dedicated Film City would provide a conducive environment for filmmakers, actors, technicians, and other professionals associated with the industry. It would offer state-of-the-art infrastructure, including film studios, post-production facilities, soundstages, and outdoor shooting locations, thus creating opportunities for local talent and attracting filmmakers from across the country.
The presence of a Film City in Bengaluru would not only enhance the filmmaking ecosystem but also contribute significantly to the local economy. It would generate employment opportunities, promote tourism, and attract investments from the film industry. Additionally, a Film City would facilitate collaborations, networking, and skill development among aspiring filmmakers and industry veterans, fostering a vibrant creative community.
