After their tour and last record, the pop-punk group Sum 41 will break up.
Canadian pop-punk band Sum 41 has sold 15 million records worldwide and is breaking up. Following the completion of their final album and a world tour, the band announced in a social media post on Monday that they will break up after 27 years in the music business. As they excitedly await the release of their final album, “Heaven x Hell,” the band confirmed that all of their upcoming tour dates in Europe and the United States will be completed this summer.

The popular pop-punk band revealed in a social media statement on Monday that their eighth album, “Heaven X Hell,” will be their final one. The band is known for songs like “In Too Deep” and “Fatlip.” Following the release of their farewell album this summer, the band announced that they would wrap up their remaining European and American tour dates.
Regarding the release date and the farewell tour, little information has been disclosed. In their announcement of their breakup, the band stated that being a group since 1996 has provided them with some of their best experiences.
The band sent a letter on Monday to Twitter and their website saying, “We are forever grateful to our fans, both old and new, who have supported us in every way.” It is difficult to express the love and respect we have for everyone of you, therefore we wanted to say it to you directly.”Thank you for the last 27 years of Sum 41,” the band said as they wrapped up their speech.
What Sum 41 is
Sum 41 is a Canadian rock group that was founded in Ajax, Ontario. Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Jason “Cone” McCaslin (bass, backing vocals), Dave “Brownsound” Baksh (lead guitar, backing vocals), Frank Zummo (drums, percussion, occasionally backing vocals), and Tom Thacker (guitars, keyboards, backing vocals) are the band’s current members. The group was founded in 1996.
Their debut album, “All Killer No Filler,” released in 2001, was well-received by critics and fans alike, with the lead track “Fat Lip” topping Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart. Over the years, Sum 41 has released seven full-length studio albums, three live albums, and one EP. The most recent of these is “Order in Decline” from 2019.
