- Gandhi my Father
Mahatma Gandhi’s complicated, contentious, and tense relationship with his son Harilal Gandhi is depicted in film ‘Gandhi My Father’. The two had diametrically opposed dreams from the beginning. Gandhi wanted his son to join him and fight for his principles and causes in India, but Harilal wanted to study overseas and become a lawyer like his father.

The film was inspired by the life of Indian spy Ravindra Kaushik and theatrically released on 5 April 2019.

In 2004, Indian Cinema’s notable director Shyam Benegal wrote and directed the Indian epic biographical war film Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero.
