Shekhar Kapur is preparing for the follow-up to his 1983 directorial debut “Masoom”
While Kapur is preparing for the follow-up to his 1983 directorial debut “Masoom,” which starred Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in the key roles, Dave Stewart is eagerly anticipating his UK tour, which is scheduled to begin on July 11 of this year. “About who we have become as society now,” reads the subtitle of the sequel, “Masoom… The New Generation.” Why the concept of home has been lost and replaced with property. I have a goal to do something every day : Dave Stewart
Stewart and vocalist Annie Lenox of the Eurythmics have been pursuing separate careers since the 1990s, when the pair first broke up, even though their final performance was in 2022 when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They have prospered on their own save from a 1999 reunion and the release of the album Peace and the single “I’ve Got a Life” in 2005.
Cloud Walking, Stewart’s 2023 solo album featuring pianist Hannah Koppenburg, has been released consistently. Stewart’s prior relationship with India dates back to 2009 when he was a member of the supergroup SuperHeavy, which also included Damian Marley, A.R. Rahman, Mick Jagger, and Joss Stone.
In a recent interview, the musician said to The Big Takeover, “I’m old now! I am seventy-one. I have a goal to do something every day. Compose a song, any genre will do. That’s just how I feel. What more will I do? Since I don’t consider what I do as work, I’m generally exhausted at the end of the night, but I am working. It’s exciting to express yourself and, ideally, make connections with those who share your interests or who can relate to the topics you write about.
